The Head of Content/Content Marketing Manager will be responsible for leading the content strategy and development for IRIS CARBON®. This includes creating and managing the development of all content, including product documentation, user guides, marketing materials, and other forms of content that support the sales, marketing, and customer service efforts of the company.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a content strategy that aligns with the company’s overall goals and objectives
- Create and manage the development of all content, including high-quality articles, white papers, blogs, press releases, email marketing messages, case studies, presentation content, survey reports, and web copies
- Manage the content development process from concept to delivery, including writing, editing, and proofreading
- Serve as an exemplary writer, consistent with our company’s tone and mission. Focus on writing clear, concise, well-polished copies
- Collaborate with internal teams, such as product development, marketing, and customer service, to ensure that all content is accurate, user-friendly, and effective
- Edit content produced by your team, including conceptualizing the projects upfront, assigning projects, and overseeing development and copy-editing before publishing
- Continuously measure and improve content performance; create reports leveraging Google Analytics, Uber Suggest, and social media analytics tools
- Build and maintain editorial calendar and written guidelines
- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and customer challenges to build a more effective editorial calendar
- Work closely with senior leaders, marketing teammates, and other departments to create effective communications strategies that articulate our product’s core benefits properly and consistently
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in content development and apply that knowledge to the company’s content strategy
- Interact with other content specialists and internal team members to create and review all content & ensure a consistent message
- Educate the organization to adopt better content creation practices through frequent testing of new content formats and distribution methods
- Manage a team of content writers
- Management of all creative resources including designer and illustrator
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related discipline
- 8-10 years of content marketing or direct copywriting experience
- Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance (Will be an added advantage)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in content development, with a focus on the financial domain
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Familiarity with content management systems, search engine optimization, and analytics
- Strong communication skills
- Experience managing a team of content developers
- Excellent grammar, punctuation, and spelling skills
- Experience/consistent performance in a deadline-oriented environment due to tight time restraints and volume of work
- Ability to manage multiple projects and juggle priorities
- Clear, effective communicator- verbally and in writing with the ability to be persuasive
- Ability to analyze and present content and social media performance
- Demonstrated ability to work productively with peers in a cross-functional capacity
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong project management skills and ability to multitask
- Results-oriented; proven ability to prioritize, drive and achieve results through self and others under time pressure.
- Editorial mindset that seeks to understand what audiences consume and how to create it
- Strong knowledge of content marketing strategy and channels
